Heavy combination (HC) is a prime mover which is attached to a single, semi trailer that has a GVM more than 9 tonnes.
You are eligible for a heavy combination licence after 24 months of holding a licence, with at least 12 months of hiolding either a medium rigid (MR) or heavy rigid (HR) licence.

Course Outcome: On successful completion of your licensing program, your assessor will work with you to lodge your application for heavy vehicle endorsement via the Vic Roads partner portal.

Recommended for persons with little or no experience in Non-sync vehicles. Must be experienced, manual car drivers

Students must:
- hold a current Victorian drivers licence
- have held an Australian MR or HR drivers licence for at least 12 months
- provide secondary proof of identity
- have studied the Truck and Bus Handbook
Students seeking to undertake this licence in a non-synchromesh vehicle, must have extensive manual driving experience.
To be eligible to test, students MUST first meet VicRoads criteria. If criteria are NOT met students will not be able to undergo the on-road test and will continue to train for the duration of the course. Additional costs will apply if students book subsequent training and/or testing.
