Non-synchromesh is commonly referred to as a “double clutch”, “road ranger” or “crash box” transmission. This course is suitable for persons with extensive manual driving experience.

Recommended for persons with little or no experience in Non-synchromesh vehicle. Must be experienced manual car drivers.

Students must
- hold a current Victorian car drivers licence
- have held an Australian car drivers licence for at least 24 months
- provide secondary proof of identity
- have extensive experience in driving a manual vehicle
- have studied the Vic Roads Truck and Bus Handbook
To be eligible to test, students MUST first meet VicRoads criteria. If criteria are NOT met students will not be able to undergo the on-road test and will continue to train for the duration of the course. Additional costs will apply if students book subsequent training and/or testing.
